Dr. Lynne Riley - consultant paediatrician with a special interest in paediatric oncology. She has been a consultant at Barnet General Hospital since 2002, and also works at Great Ormond Street Hospital in the haematology and oncology department. She is the lead for the children’s cancer service at Barnet General Hospital, but she is also a general paediatrician, and see's many children in general paediatric clinics, including those who may develop ‘lumps and bumps” which can be very worrying for parents. At Great Ormond Street Hopsital, she help's run the long-term follow up service - this is a service for survivors of childhood cancer, and the aims are to help educate young adults about their previous diagnosis, as well as monitor for any side effects that may occur as a result of previous treatment.
Dr Lynne Riley is also very involved in teaching, as she believe's a crucial part of being a good doctor lies in excellent communication.
