Julia is an experienced psychologist with specialist training in neurodevelopmental conditions, educational/cognitive assessments and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy approaches. She is registered with the Health Professional Council (HPC) and Chartered with the British Psychological Society (BPS). Julia has acquired her experience working and training in the NHS in a variety of services: Great Ormond Street Hospital, North East London Community Mental Health Team, Child and Adolescent Mental Health Team at the University College Hospital and South West London and St George’s Child and Adolescent Mental Health Learning Disability Service.
Julia conducts comprehensive cognitive /educational assessments in order to identify any learning problems and specific learning difficulties having significant experience in both neurodevelopment and learning disabilities.
Julia also conducts Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) assessments and Autistic Spectrum Disorder diagnostic assessments in conjunction to another qualified professional such as a Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist, Speech and Language Therapist or Neurodevelopmental Paediatrician.
She also undertakes comprehensive assessments for behavioural problems to inform appropriate interventions.
