Dr. Amy Jebreel has dual qualifications in Adult and Old Age Psychiatry. She has expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of a wide range of mental health difficulties, including mood and anxiety disorders, dementia and dementia assessment, ADHD and complex PTSD.
Dr. Jebreel tailors a range of perspectives to help untangle challenges and explore possibilities with her patients. She works alongside them to help make sense of their experiences and reduce distress without imposing a set framework.
She is actively involved in training doctors, and is the UCL Course Director for the Royal College of Psychiatry membership training. She regularly lectures both students and doctors and also undertakes research. Until recently she was the Haringey Clinical lead for the national ODDESSI trial.
Dr. Jebreel has a particular interest in psychological approaches to mental distress. She draws on the principles of the Open Dialogue approach and has published a chapter on ‘Open Dialogue and Dementia Care’. She holds a Diploma in Group Analysis, a Foundation training in Family therapy, a Post-Graduate Certificate in Clinical Education and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
