Dr Cristal Oxley is a Consultant Child and Adolescent Psychiatrist specialising in neurodevelopmental conditions including ADHD, autism, tics and Tourettes and co-occurring conditions including anxiety, OCD, depression and sleep difficulties. Dr Oxley has a special interest in how neurodevelopmental conditions can present differently in boys and girls and their overlapping conditions such as anxiety and depression which, if unrecognised, can have a significant impact on young people.
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Dr Oxley studied medicine at the University of Cambridge and University College London. She trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the prestigious Maudsley Hospital. Dr Oxley has over 15 years experience in specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services including the NHS and has experience training others to complete neurodevelopmental assessments. Dr Oxley is a published author of several peer reviewed publications, textbook chapters and prescribing guidelines on ADHD, mental health and autism and has presented her research internationally. Dr Oxley is warm, approachable and skilled and always provides a high standard of clinical care. She understands the importance of developing positive relationships with you and your child and takes time to listen carefully to all views. She offers detailed assessments and gives helpful practical recommendations for you, your child and your child’s school.
