Consultant Professor Neil Shah

Mr Shah is a Consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist at Great Ormond Street Hospital and recently appointed Professor at Katholoic University Leuven, Belgium. Mr Shah's interests include food allergy with the problems faced daily at work and at home, reflux and inflammatory bowel disorders and functional bowel problems such as abdominal pain and constipation.
Mr Shah is involved in the development of regional/national guidelines for practical identification and treatment of GI food allergy. He was runner up for Doctor of the Year in 2008 and at Great Ormond Street in 2012 Annual Staff Awards. He leads a research study and group on GI food allergy called the Burden Project. He is also co-director of the Academy of Paediatric Gastroenterology, www.a-p-g.org, which deliver 10 courses per year in all areas of Paediatric Gastroenterology.
